Through this campaign, calling on the government to save rivers from the toxic chemicals commonly found in pet protection products, more than 600 letters of concern were sent to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate ahead of its consultation deadline on Thursday, 11 June.
This is a pivotal moment in the fight to save freshwater species from these chemicals, now frequently found in UK rivers at unsafe levels. We will be watching closely to see how the regulator responds.
